Stainless Steel Flanges are used in applications such as the oil and gas industries, food processing industries, ship building industries and others to connect stainless steel pipes together. These flange may be of different types, shapes and of different material grades. the Stainless Steel Forged Flange are stronger than the drawn flange because they are made from one piece of the raw material and have no welded joints.
Stainless Steel Flanges
The SS Pipe Flanges vary in materials grades but the most used materials are the 304, 304L and 304H types. These are very cost effective and have high mechanical properties. Their tensile strengths range from 485 to 515MPa and the yield strengths range from 170 to 205MPa. There are different schedules and pressure classes that indicate the maximum pressure a flange could take. The pn16 stainless steel flanges are intended for high pressure applications.
It is one of the highest pressure ratings of stainless steel flange. There are different application types such as the Stainless Steel Exhaust Flanges which are used for high temperature, high pressure applications such as exhaust lines. The flange are sometimes used to close a pipeline rather than connecting two pipes. These are called the Stainless Steel Blind Flanges.

How Stainless Steel Forged Flanges are Manufactured
This flange are centrally drilled and tapped hole in a variety of thread forms after that they are screwed on to a screwed pipe or fittings. They don't need to be weld but in some cases like high pressure application they are welded to seal and secure them.
